Summer 2026

Hi friends and family! We are heading into an exciting summer and we have so much news to share with you!

In March Chase opened the El Camino coffee shop located next to our school. It has been a dream over the years for the ministry to have this coffee shop as a vocational training area and a place for people to gather and fellowship together. This branch of the ministry represents so much more than just selling coffee, smoothies and pastries, it allows us to partner with local farmers and families, buying their best fruits. It has created jobs for so many people in the area that otherwise haven’t had an opportunity like this. We recently served over 200 plates of food at the School’s graduation event. It’s also been a family effort for our children’s home. Multiple of our teenagers are working there daily, allowing them to learn things like inventory, barista skills, baking, management and so much more! We look forward to watching this branch of the ministry continue to grow.

Chase has started a new Bible study with various youth from the area. The study meets at the coffee shop and gives the teenagers and young adults who have mostly heard the gospel but want to take their faith deeper a chance to ask challenging questions and mature in their faith.

Reagan finished her 9th year school. God answered such a big prayer by sending an amazing teacher to split third grade with her. Not only did her co-teacher Abby do a fantastic job teaching the English subjects for third grade, but she also became a close friend and great helper for Reagan! We are amazed by the way God continues to send such passionate people to work alongside us.

As many of you already know, our second child is due later this summer! Through much prayer we have decided to stay in  Honduras and have the baby at Hospital Loma de Luz. God has provided an amazing medical team that has already cared so well for Reagan and baby throughout this pregnancy. We cannot wait to share the news of his birth and covet your prayers for the remainder of the pregnancy and the delivery!

On our pig project, which is a major move towards sustainability for our Children’s Home, we are excited to share that three of our female pigs are pregnant! These piglets will be sold to people in the community to raise funds or grown here to slaughter later as meat or be bred.

A continual prayer request for our family is favor with the government as we wade through the paperwork required to obtain permanent residency. We have an amazing friend who’s helping us through the process, but it is slower and more expensive than we expected.

Finally, we asked that you continue to lift up our beautiful Danely. In previous newsletters, we’ve shared about her remarkable life and battle with a rare disease called XP. Unfortunately new cancerous growths have proven inoperable. Last month, the doctors gave a very grave report on her health, but she continues to amaze us with her strength. We are so grateful to know her and experience her joy every day. Please pray for her continued wellness and for all of our children’s home family and the people that love her as we manage these cancerous growths as well as possible.

Thank you!

The Grays
